WEAVING IN TUSCANY
Day 1
Morning: Arrival in Florence.
Afternoon: Guided visit of Florence, One of the most iconic art cities of the world, Florence is an open air-museum. From Piazza Santa Maria Novella, continuing towards Piazza del Duomo with the Cathedral, Giotto’s Bell Tower, Baptistery, and Piazza della Signoria with its Palazzo Vecchio, the Ponte Vecchio to finish the tour in Piazza Santa Croce, for an unforgettable scenery.
Evening: hotel accommodation and dinner in restaurant
Day 2
Morning: technical visit at Scuola del Cuoio in Florence. History of the school, gilding process, explanation of the different techniques, explanation of the two collections produced in the workshop, demonstration and explanation of the different type of skins
Afternoon: train to Prato to visit the Museum of Textile. Return to Florence
Evening: dinner in restaurant
Day 3
Morning: transfer to Pisa for a guided visit. Only some steps from coach parking and will appear the most famous square of Italy and well known all oaver the world: Piazza dei Miracoli. The Leaning Tower, the Cathedral, the Baptistery and Monumental Cemetery have stood for over a thousand years, symbols of Christianity and glory of the ancient Maritime Republic of Pisa. Along the visit of squares and most representative monuments of the city, you will learn more about historical and artistic development of Pisa.
Afternoon: visit of a tannery of Santa Croce District. Return to Florence
Evening: dinner in restaurant
Day 4
Morning: back home
