AGRICULTURE IN TUSCANY

Day 1 

Morning: Arrival in Pisa. Guided visit of Pisa. Only some steps from coach parking and will appear the most famous square of Italy and well known all oaver the world: Piazza dei Miracoli. The Leaning Tower, the Cathedral, the Baptistery and Monumental Cemetery have stood for over a thousand years, symbols of Christianity and glory of the ancient Maritime Republic of Pisa. Along the visit of squares and most representative monuments of the city, you will learn more about historical and artistic development of Pisa. 

Afternoon: Transfer to a dairy factory for a guided visit with taste of products.

Evening: Transfer to Montecatini Terme for dinner and night in hotel.

Day 2

Morning: transfer to San Gimignano for a guided visit of a farm specialising in the production of Chianina beef. Visit of the animal breeding and  possibility of educational activities

Afternoon: guided visit of San Gimignano. It’s historical center and their famous towers are unchanged from Middle Ages until today. Will be discoverd Piazza della Cisterna and Piazza del Duomo, the panoramic point at the top of the village and the Church of S. Agostino.

Evening: dinner and night in hotel

Day 3

Morning: transfer to Lucca for a guided tour of the city that preserves the charm of a small and ancient Italian City State. For many centuries it managed the hold on to its independence and freedom by adopting a cautious policy. Having miraculously escaped from the devastation of war, today it boasts one of the most extraordinary Tuscan art heritages. The historical centre plunges the visitor back in time and proides the perfect stting to savor old world charm, where time and space take on a new dimension, no longer found in today’s modern cities. The Renaissance Walls that enclose totally the city, the medieval streets flanked by towers and elegant boutiques, the Romanesquye churches and the bright squares, shows to visitors new and unexpected beauty.

Afternoon:  Route to an oil mill studying oil production with harvesting, pressing and bottling (seasonal)

Evening: dinner and night in hotel

Day 4

Morning: Transfer to Chianti to visit a vinery with with an explanation of wine production and eventual tasting.

Afternoon: guided visit of Siena. This ancient city will place in the atmoshpere of a medieveal center, with its traditions that persist in the daily life of their citizen. The typical medieval steets along “rioni” with small shops, towers, noble buildings will bring you to the famous Piazza del Campo, theater of the most important event of the city and well-know all over the world – the Palio; can’t miss the Cathedral and the Baptistery before leaving.

Evening: dinner and night in hotel
